I really didn't want to learn of some 47 year old man's attempt to sell and defend an ebook regarding the 'rules of engagement' when it comes to kiddy diddling.

I hope the FBI or whatever makes Amazon tell them who bought that ebook (if anyone did). Claiming its censorship if they didn't sell that book.. bullcrap. When you get to the size that you are Amazon... the shit you sell represents you to your consumer base. People look to you for books, dvds and generally anything but pedophilia.

Besides. Why allow it when you know it'll mean the guvaments gon be on your ass to divulge anyway!?

I would think the bad publicity wouldn't be worth it... So many people will quit Amazon or boycott them right before the holidays. What is this, some sort of suicide run for them? O_o I'm sure if the dude threatened to SUE due to "censorship", they could afford to squash him in court. What the hell was their motive for putting that on their site? o____o;;;

I was able to look at roughly 100-200 of those 1 star reviews and basically all of them would say 'I'm never using Amazon again' or 'If Amazon supports pedophilia I'm shopping elsewhere' and basically yes, from a financial standpoint, having that book there was shooting themselves in the foot.

Especially since the man explained his ideals and crap behind the ebook to ABC (http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/amazon-removes-pedophilia-book-store/story?id=12119035) where you know it'll spread further than further, the disgusted and the paranoid will probably avoid Amazon like the plague.

I too kind of want to stop using Amazon although I like using their user-store service where I can buy used paperbacks and animes for stupidly low prices. Their motive is greed and I really don't wanna feed into it.

Their store policies suck too. They take a decent percentage, and then don't allow you to set your own S&H prices. With some books I sold, after the fees and extra I had to pay in shipping I came out even or only made one or two bucks. :-/

If they didn't have everything I need for Christmas at as you said, "stupidly low prices" I would shop elsewhere. But even with store coupons they can't meet the prices of Amazon. o_o;;;

It's not censorship, it's protecting kiddies. Some idiots will whine over this and say IT DOESN'T HARM KIDS!1, but they are fucked up individuals I wish I could spend a day smacking in the face, and maybe remove their teeth without any numbing agent. (I have dental issues on the mind--cavities ahoy D:)

The truth is, there is NO right code of conduct for that kind of interaction with children. I'm not saying adults should run when kids are present, but there should be no behaviour that involves lust or whatever. Nothing pisses me off more than people trying to harm children, and I don't even particularly like kids XD I'd never have them. And internets always seems to justify everything. So many people think loli is okay because it gives pedos an outlet!1 Yeah, better drawings than real kids, but still >:o

I think I'll make a book like that, only instead of advice to sickos, it will have a picture of Pedobear on every page.

I haven't bought from Amazon in a long time, and this doesn't encourage me to go to them for, well, anything. Books... whatev, honestly. I don't really have it in me to sit down and read. Everything else they hawk, I get a 10% blood-money discount on at a certain other online retailer.
