I'm noticing that in the latest mod post I put in A_B, people are saying that we need to cut slack to those who don't have A_B on their flist and that they ought to not get in trouble because of the fact they do not frequent A_B very often.
Really? Really really now? Even in a mod post that I've said 'if you've already gotten into the fray off A_B and find out its ON A_B... don't come into A_B?' What part of that is so hard to comprehend. We can look at timestamps to see when you started participating in where so that's already a given...
But if you don't want to get in trouble in A_B when you know DAMN WELL you're trolling elsewhere and you can and will be caught you need to just observe the thread in A_B and call it a day. I mean if you're not going to frequent the community in the first place, it cannot be so hard to keep your commentary to yourself.
Besides, its not even the hypothetical you who gets caught harassing who gets to judge if your comments are actually harassing or not. Which is the whole point of the rule in place in A_B. You may have just gone into Featured Artist X's journal to say 'I like turtles' but for all you know that simple statement to them meant something like this:

Which in turn will make them wig out at the community (Personal Art Spaces & A_B alike), the A_B mods, and lord knows who else. Which means we have to hunt you down and hit you on the nose. Frustrations of Wank and Dramateering
I am getting very tired of people assuming that Artists Beware is a 'drama community'. The community itself is not this so-called drama bomb everyone makes it out to be. Its those who wish to abuse the community (Acorn & KravenLupei), those who have no respect for the community (West & TheWielder) and those who are truly ignorant of the community and its purposes (see: the rest of the internet, especially FA) that are attempting to give A_B the unflattering blush of 'drama'.
No disrespect to FD_2 or FTW, but I've noticed that all the issues surrounding A_B now got a little worse when people began posting smaller incidences of A_B issues into those comms on the whole, or in the case of West, putting A_B's mod-team on the spot for not allowing the original post after we as a team deemed it unfitting for the comm. But although in the end we accepted a version of it - word of that incident had already spread far and fucking WIDE. Twitter is pro at getting gossip to make the rounds if the right person(s) set it off. So that's also a big giant stick in our community's collective eyeball as well.
These people who keep wishing A_B could go back to the way it use to be have no clue of what they speak. Truly. Any and all drama posts in A_B are anomalies simply based off some very simple criteria that are completely out of the control of the mods up to a certain point. We could ban a problem user, but what's stopping that user from bolting to their own journals or artspaces, etc to continue the snowball? Too many factors but not enough realization of them.
Basically, to TL;DR this post, I'm sick of people talking out of their ass or thinking that the way A_B was before the mod team grew and stepped it up was the ideal.

I am slowly going to start working on an intentionally bad comic. Bad as in characters, plot, etc… will encompass all that is lol and weeaboo with some good ol’ 90s anime thrown in. In my mind I see Slayers the Motion Picture + Rayearth + Card Captor Sakura with possibly some Haruhi or dothack thrown in.
It has a title, and the main cast + sidekick already. I just need plot. And art that isn’t ballpoint on napkin or dirty sketchbook.

That shit right there puts my panties in a big ol twist. If you want something done right, don't fucking do it wrong! Sitting there yammering about how women are so disadvantaged doesn't equal them suddenly getting AN advantage. To me, its no different than a furry going 'Bwaaah' cuz they can't go to a god damn furry con cuz they blew their check on a Starfinder commission that she'll never cough up!
Shit stinks. Regardless of your gender, dammit. Stop trying to compare or one-up in order to 'show the other side's privilege'. Because if you ask me, there are two privileges that everyone (E V E R Y O N E) is entitled to - clean water, and food.

So Irene was not as bad as forseen. Now people want to be upset they were evacuated and NYC was shut down and la-de-dah.
Sure. Next time a 600 mile wide Hurricane comes wandering up your alley, let the government pick their nose and claim it won't be so bad.
When you get Katrina Part Deux don't say shit you little ingrates looking for ways to claim its all 'political' and the 'news made everyone scared'.
Of course they're going to freak you out - it was a freaking big ass storm and we've already seen what it did to places like Ocean City and the like. They wanted you scared so you could GTFO! How dare any of you be upset that for once the government (misguided or not you decided) cared enough about your lazy entitled iPhone humping asses to get you safe.
Turn around reactions like this make me sick. Everyone on my twitter feed was scared yesterday - now they just mad. Better mad than dead.

Right now my bank is all sorts of *insert un-PC term of choice*. They closed all three (yes three, I lose things easily so its a just in case thing), of my atm cards WITHOUT GIVING ME A REPLACEMENT due to my account apparently being compromised.
Soooo... I'm stuck until next week when I get a new one.
And in other news, I don't think I ever wanna order online from Carpe Diem for copics again. I'd rather pay the gas to go up to Walnut. They chose to wait two fucking weeks til my card was no good to attempt to process it. They too can be considered *an un-PC term of choice*! Grr!
